MARTIN dUCKWORTH

Martin is an expert on horizon scanning, with particular expertise in scanning for transport futures and infrastructure. He has led the Horizon Scanning process for many projects, with SAMI Consulting including creation of scanning databases for use in scenario development.

He is currently delivering a number of horizon scanning projects related to transport futures. Until 2013, he managed the multi-year SAMI contract to deliver futures support to the Horizon Scanning Centre of the UK Government’s Foresight programme.

Previously he was a member of the “Corporate Radar” team at Boots Group PLC, analyzing trends and patterns of competition in the external business environment. and regularly briefed the Chairman of the Boots Group on the implications of external scans.

He lives in Nottingham with his partner Sandy and their two boys.
